In this chapter, William ends up being seduced by Mabel, who takes advantage of Monica's excursion to the girls' room, and gives her his undivided attention for about half an hour. After coming up with a rather lame excuse for cheating, he patches things up with Monica and the two of them take a thrilling detour for the local fortune teller - who, as it turns out, seems to be informed just a little too much about the many amorous adventures of our hero.
